A network administrator is a skilled IT professional tasked with overseeing, maintaining, and resolving issues within computer networks across organizations. The role of a network administrator has become ever-present worldwide and is widely regarded as one of the most essential and well-paid professions.


About the course

Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia is launching a Network Administration course, which aligns with the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification program offered by Cisco Systems. The course consists of three levels:

  1. Introduction to Network Administration (ITNA)
  2. Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials (SRWE)
  3. Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation (ENSA) 

Upon successful completion of all levels, participants will possess the necessary knowledge to pass the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification exam.

In this course, you will study:

  • The architecture, structure, functions, components, and models of the Internet and other computer networks.
  • Principles and structure of IP addressing.
  • Basic methods of subnetting implementation.
  • Basic configurations for routers and switches.

What will I be able to do after this course?

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Implement initial settings, including passwords, IP addressing, and default gateway parameters, on a network router, switch, and end devices.
  • Understand the OSI model's seven layers and their associated protocols.
  • Calculate an IPv4 subnetting scheme to efficiently segment your network and implement an IPv6 addressing scheme.
  • Test network connections using various tools.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues in a small network.Acquire sufficient knowledge to participate in the more advanced levels of the course.

About the trainer

Vahagn Kharatyan is a Cisco-certified professional with more than 13 years of experience in IT, including network and web technologies. For the last 10 years, he has been combining practical work with teaching.
