About the Training

In today's threat landscape, cyber threat intelligence isn't a nice-to-have, it's a core competency. Organizations don't just need people who can respond to incidents. They need professionals who can anticipate threats, understand adversaries and turn raw data into decisions. The CREST Practitioner Threat Intelligence Analyst (CPTIA) certification is designed for professionals who want to move beyond the basics and build the analytical skills that organizations and industries actually demand.

CREST is one of the most respected accreditation bodies in cybersecurity globally. Earning a CREST certification means your skills have been validated against internationally recognized standards - the kind of credential that speaks for itself in any room, in any country.

What You'll Learn

Threat intelligence is both a technical discipline and an analytical craft. This course builds both.

Over three days, you'll develop a structured understanding of how intelligence works in practice from collecting and evaluating data to producing assessments that actually inform decisions. By the end, you won't just know the theory. You'll know how to apply it.

  • Understand the full intelligence cycle and how it operates in real cybersecurity environments
  • Identify and profile threat actors; their motivations, capabilities and tactics
  • Apply key frameworks including the Cyber Kill Chain and Diamond Model
  • Plan and conduct data collection using OSINT and structured research techniques
  • Recognize analytical bias and produce objective, reliable threat assessments
  • Produce and share intelligence reports aligned with STIX and TAXII standards
  • Navigate the legal and ethical boundaries of intelligence collection
  • Write and present clear, concise threat assessments for different audiences

Hands-On Lab Components

Understanding threat intelligence is one thing. Applying it under real conditions is another.

The lab sessions in this course are built around practical, scenario-based exercises that reflect what the job actually looks like. You'll work through the kind of problems that analysts face every day not hypotheticals, but structured challenges that sharpen your thinking and prepare you for the exam.

Lab sessions include:

  • Conducting OSINT research and non-attributable investigations
  • Mapping threat actors using the Diamond Model and Cyber Kill Chain
  • Building and executing intelligence collection plans
  • Applying analytical techniques including hypothesis testing and probability assessment
  • Constructing threat reports using industry-standard formats
  • Practicing exam-style scenarios under realistic conditions

Course Instructor

This course is led by Giorgi Gurgenidze - Co-Founder and Research Director at GITAC, Executive Cybersecurity Advisor and CISSP-certified professional with over 15 years of experience in Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) environments. Giorgi doesn't just teach threat intelligence, he has practiced it at the highest levels, working across national cybersecurity strategy, threat operations and regional capacity building. That depth of real-world experience shapes every part of how this course is delivered. You won't be learning from a slide deck. You'll be learning from someone who has been in the field.

Who Should Attend

This course is for cybersecurity professionals who are ready to specialize and serious about doing it properly.

If you're working in a security role and want a clearer, more structured approach to understanding threats, this course gives you that framework. If you're looking to move into a dedicated threat intelligence function, this certification puts you on the right path.

It's particularly relevant for:

  • Security Analysts and Junior Cybersecurity Analysts looking to deepen their expertise
  • SOC Analysts ready to move beyond alert triage into intelligence-driven analysis
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysts seeking formal certification to validate their skills
  • IT and security professionals transitioning into a threat intelligence role

If your work involves understanding adversaries, assessing risk or communicating threats to stakeholders, this is the certification for you.

Certification & Exam

The CPTIA is not just another course certificate. It's a globally recognized qualification awarded by CREST- independently validating that your skills meet international industry standards. That distinction matters. In a field where credibility is everything, a CREST certification tells employers, clients and peers that your expertise has been tested and verified not just claimed.

Your exam voucher is included. No hidden costs, no surprises.

Everything included in this course:

  • Official Courseware - aligned to the full CPTIA syllabus
