Telecommunications Hackathon

Innovation and modern technologies can make a difference in addressing urgent developmental challenges in all spheres of economy. Telecommunications is a fast-paced and competitive environment, driven by high customer expectations and a constant demand for new and improved services. 

Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia in partnership with Beeline Armenia, as one of the innovative telecommunications operators in Armenia organizes the second Telecommunications Hackathon to promote the development of digital and innovative solutions to issues in Telecommunications.

What solutions can be developed?

Various departments of Beeline Armenia will share the information on the problems and gaps, existing in Armenia through video clips. Thus, the teams will be informed of their scopes and will be able to develop innovative, efficient and cost-effective solutions. Follow MIC Armenia Facebook page and develop solutions, based on the information, provided by field specialists.

Whom are we looking for?

Teams of 2-5 members, who are

  • Innovative and creative
  • Able to hack and develop technological solutions
  • Committed to participate in the 24-hour Hackathon

What is expected at Hackathon?

During 24 hours the teams will develop prototypes of their solutions to gaps and issues of telecommunications and will present to the jury of developers and mentors. The jury will identify the best teams in accordance with the following criteria: work, done within 24 hours; innovative element of the solution, business model etc. The best two teams will be awarded respectively with the prizes of $3000 and $2000. 

When and where?

The Telecommunications Hackathon will start at 12:00 on October 20 at Tumo Center for Creative Technologies and end on 12:00, October 21. The pitching session of the teams will start at 13:00 on October 21, 2017.
