Start your data science career with the Microsoft Professional Program

Analysts predict a need for 1.5 million data scientists & analysts by 2018. Do not waste your time and start your career in data science with the Microsoft Professional Program. Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia gives a fantastic opportunity to 30 students to have FREE access to the Microsoft Professional Program in Data Science, developed by Microsoft and Columbia University. The program will be delivered online through edX platform, combined with face-to face sessions, conducted at the premises of Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia. What do you get?

Microsoft Professional Program in Data Science, developed by Microsoft and Columbia University. The students with successful completion will get Microsoft Professional Program Certificate in Data Science.

What does the course consist?

The course provides a comprehensive program of study in data science and consists of three units (Fundamentals, Core data science and Applied data science) and a final project.  

What will you learn?

  • Use Microsoft Excel to explore data
  • Use Transact-SQL to query a relational database
  • Create data models and visualize data using Excel or Power BI
  • Apply statistical methods to data
  • Use R or Python to explore and transform data
  • Follow a data science methodology
  • Create and validate machine learning models with Azure Machine Learning
  • Write R or Python code to build machine learning models
  • Apply data science techniques to common scenarios
  • Implement a machine learning solution for a given data problem.

How much time will it take?

The program consists of 9 courses, 16-32 hours each.

When does the course start?

The course starts on April 5 and ends on July 20.
